
Ark Media is a documentary film company founded
in 1997 by the producing team of Barak Goodman and Rachel Dretzin.
Ark produces films primarily for the PBS series
FRONTLINE and American Experience, and also for cable outlets such as
The History Channel and American Movie Classics. Over the last
half-dozen years, Ark films have won nearly every major broadcast
award: the Emmy, DuPont-Columbia, Robert F. Kennedy, Writers Guild and
Peabody, as well as earning an Academy Award nomination, and official
selection to the Sundance Film Festival.
Digital Nation explores the relationship between digital
technology and the way we learn, think and interact. After a year of posting reports and gathering user stories on the Digital Nation website, the 90-minute documentary premieres on FRONTLINE February 2th on PBS
The four-part series Faces of America uses the intimate family stories of a dozen famous Americans to explore the history of this country and the role that ancestry plays in the American success story. Faces premieres Wednesdays on PBS beginning February 10th.
My Lai draws upon the eyewitness accounts of Vietnamese survivors and the men of Charlie Company and recently discovered audio recordings from the Peers Inquiry to recount one of the Vietnam War's darkest chapters. My Lai premieres on American Experience later this spring.
