Ark Media is a documentary film company founded in 1997 by the producing team of Barak Goodman and Rachel Dretzin.

Ark produces films primarily for the PBS series FRONTLINE and American Experience, and also for cable outlets such as The History Channel and American Movie Classics. Over the last half-dozen years, Ark films have won nearly every major broadcast award: the Emmy, DuPont-Columbia, Robert F. Kennedy, Writers Guild and Peabody, as well as earning an Academy Award nomination, and official selection to the Sundance Film Festival.

In 2009, Ark will embark on two major projects. The first, for WGBH's American Experience will recount the harrowing story of the My Lai massacre and its cover-up. The 90-minute film is scheduled to air in early 2010. At the same time, Ark will be producing a four-hour series called Faces of America for WNET. The third installment in Henry Louis Gates' masterful series African American Lives, Faces again uses the intimate family stories of a dozen famous Americans to explore the history of this country and the role that ancestry plays in the American success story.

Ark Media is in the process of producing a new documentary and website for PBS's FRONTLINE. Called "Digital Nation," the project looks at the relationship between digital technology and the way we learn, think and interact. Visit pbsdigitalnation.org to learn more.
