He's directed intimate biographies of prolific Americans in films like The Newspaperman: The Life and Times of Ben Bradlee (HBO), and A Choice of Weapons (HBO), about the acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Gordon Parks (Tribeca 2021). In Panic: The Untold Story of the 2008 Financial Crisis (HBO), he cross-examined the architects of the largest Wall Street bailout in American history while in his most recent biographical film, Mr. Saturday Night (HBO), he uncovered the innovations of legendary music and film impresario Robert Stigwood (DocNYC 2021).
